Playhouse Theatre Academy is dedicated to offering professional theatre programs for emerging artists of all ages and abilities. All students will learn from expert faculty who will share their exceptional abilities and love of theatre. Managed by Playhouse Theatre Group, Inc., Playhouse Theatre Academy is able to provide access to professional artists, productions and opportunities through our affiliation with Playhouse on Park. Whether your goal is to be a professional actor or to explore your imagination and creativity in a new way, the Playhouse Theatre Academy is a home for quality theatre instruction.

Class Description: An introductory theatre class for children 2-4 years old accompanied by a parent or caregiver. We'll work together on identifying, expressing and managing our feelings while having fun and exploring children's books.

Class Description: Welcome to the world of theatre! In this course, students will explore their abilities in storytelling by creating their own play with shadow puppets based on the book Big, Bigger, Biggest Adventure by Kate Banks. Exercises and games will focus on acting, storytelling, puppetry, and character building. Kindergarten prerequisite, but children ages 4 and older who have attended pre-k are welcome to register with approval. Share day on the final day of class for family and friends!

Class Description: This class is geared more towards the process of putting together a script and a performance utilizing the fundamentals of acting. Create, rehearse, and perform an original one act piece that culminates in an end of year performance. Students will be challenged and grow their skills in this advanced option, where they make the play their own!
