Playhouse on Park depends greatly on the kindness and generosity of so many people willing to donate their time and talent to support the theatre. There are so many ways you can help! Please review the list below and let us know what interests YOU! Thank you.
Watch this feature on WFSB about being a host family
Become a Playhouse on Park host and get to know our actors up close and personal! Our hosts have found this a very enriching experience and often follow these actors’ blossoming careers. We frequently need to house directors/designers for a few days to 3 weeks, actors for 6 week periods (longer for musicals), and occasionally just need a day or two for someone to hang their hat while working with us. Some actors require private apartments; others simply a private bedroom and access to a bathroom and kitchen. Are you a snowbird? Need someone to water your plants and take in your mail? Did we mention the perks? Invitation to the cast party and final dress rehearsal, 2 free tickets to the performance of your choice and more. Just let us know of your interest and we will keep you posted on our needs. To volunteer or learn more, email Kenneth Galm or call 860-523-5900 ext 17!
Join the team that helps the Playhouse raise money to continue to do the work we do! This committee is a good match for the ideas people who can come up with fun fundraising events, and the people that like to hit the ground and get the work done! Events include anything from virtual events to a beer garden to craft fairs to Mama D’s events to black tie galas! Please contact FEA Chairman Betsy Udal at betsyaf@ymail.com to find out more!
