The company's purpose is to give an outlet to talented adult dancers who have not chosen dance as their career. stop/time is in its eleventh year and continues to give opportunities to those with a passion to dance. Darlene teaches at the Hartt School, The Hartt School Community Division, The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts, Big Sky Fitness, and is a Co-Artistic Director/Founder of Playhouse on Park. She recently directed and choreographed CHICAGO and choreographed THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLE for the Hartt Musical Theater Department. She is the winner of the 2013 Best Choreographer Award (Broadway World) for CABARET at Playhouse on Park. Darlene conceived, directed and choreographed the Playhouse on Park exclusive MAMA D'S OUTRAGEOUS ROMP. Other Playhouse credits include: MAMA TOMCAT: THE MUSICAL, THAT HOLIDAY FEELING, I THINK I CAN, SWINGING ON A STAR, CHICAGO (Best Director of a Musical, Broadway World). She would like to thank her husband, Tibor, son, Nik, sisters, Denise and Jo Ann for all of their love and support over the years. SEAN PALLATRONI (Music Director) is an EMMY® Award winning composer, songwriter, director and pianist. Originally from Bedford NH, he has studied performing arts at the Derryfield School under the direction of Laurel Devino, and completed his undergraduate degree in Music Composition at the Hartt School of Music. Sean has written for musical theatre, classical chamber ensembles, jazz, choir, and orchestra. His recent musical "Beyond this Paradise" was premiered in August 2012 in New York City, and was a finalist in the Thespis Theatre Festival. He also coaches and musically directs numerous shows in the southern New Hampshire and Hartford, Connecticut areas. Sean currently scores programs for Connecticut Public Television, including the shows "Empowering Connecticut," "Infinity Hall Live," and "All Things Connecticut." Sean is the recipient of Hartt's "Edward Diemente Award for Distinguished Undergraduate Composition," and winner of the 2010 Alabama Orchestra Association's Composition Competition for his work "When the Grass Was Still Green." |
