One Step Beyond
premieres its first full length concert with One Step Beyond. The companies declaration to the world as Connecticut's premiere hip hop company that fuses African, lindy hop, ballet, modern and all elements of hip hop dance and culture to reach audiences of diverse backgrounds. This performance will introduce the audience to EQuilibrium Dance Theatre in its truest form while educating and taking people on an adventure through innovative movement, music and spoken word.
About the Company:
EQuilibrium Dance Theatre formed in early 2009 to explore and fuse different styles of movement ranging from hip hop and modern to lindy hop, ballet, and African. Under the direction of choreographer and Artistic Director Jolet Creary, the company is evolving into a well versed company known for entertaining audiences with its fresh and unique approach to dance choreography and story telling.
