JOHN KAWIE experienced a life-altering stroke at the age of 47, which ended his career as a standup comedian. He focused his energy into writing his solo show "Brain Freeze", about his journey through the stroke, it's aftermath and all the characters he met along the way. It won Best Solo Show at the NY Fringe Festival, has been performed Off Broadway and throughout the country where general audiences as well as survivors of stroke, TBI's, caregivers and the medical community can all relate.
